Donnaruma (James V.) is born in Salerno, Italy.

James Donnaruma emigrates to the U.S. with his family in 1886 and moves to the North End in 1896. He becomes the long-time publisher of two Italian-language newspapers. Donnaruma dies on May 7, 1953 and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery.
